I read this book and I couldn't put it down. I recommend it to anyone who likes exciting books. This is a lame book review, but the book is great. Plus, the author is AUSTRALIAN!

  2. I heard about it off someone else's blog. *grin* The style is contemporary (i.e. she uses fragmented sentences) but she's a rather original writer and she's also confident of her subject material. You might feel tense during this book, but you don't feel lost.

The basic storyline is a christian teen goes on a summer-long missions trip on a hostile island and when the church leaders are killed in an unexpected muslim attack, she and the other kids on the missions trip are forced to hike through the jungle, trying to find a christian village from which they can fly home.

There was not as much of a Christian emphasis as I would've liked, but I found Lisa McKay's psychological understanding fascinating. ^_^

  3. Oooooooh, psychological?? I'm totally reading that book.

You should check out Princess Ben. I really liked it. The only thing I didn't like is it's got a really huge plot hole. ^_^ If you notice it, that is. Mommy didn't. XD
