I have made the Lord my refuge
that I may tell of all his works.

Safe.
Isn't that a good word?
Free from harm, injury, or risk;
untouched or unthreatened by danger;
unharmed; unhurt;
secure; whole;
safe from disease; safe from storms; safe from foes,
even safe from myself.
I'm safe. That's been a good thing to know lately. I'm safe.
Really, I am.
Okay, maybe I don't know it, but I'm trying my hardest to remind myself of it.

Safe in Christ. That's the real comfort.. it means that even if any of those things touch you, He's still with you.
ReplyDeleteRomans 8:35-39 - Who shall separate us from the love of our Lord? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, things present or things to come, height or depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ.... in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.
"Be still and know that I am God." (Ps 46:10)
ReplyDeleteThat verse helps me through a lot- and the words of St. Teresa de Avila, who reminds us, "Let nothing trouble you, let nothing frighten you- everything passes, but God will never change."
I love the pictures you find to put on here, btw- they're always so refreshing to look at. ^_^
